Canadarm3 is Canada's contribution to Gateway, the lunar outpost intended to support sustainable human exploration of the Moon.
The system will include a large 8.5 m arm, a smaller dexterous arm, and a tool and on-orbit replaceable unit caddy. The Canadian Space Agency lists delivery to Gateway as no earlier than 2029.
The Canadian Space Agency awarded MDA a contract in December 2020 to establish the technical requirements for Canadarm3. The system remains in development.
