About
About RoboDex
RoboDex is building the world’s most comprehensive robotics encyclopedia — robots, companies, technologies, countries, and collections with editorial verification.
Mission
Document every significant robot with the same seriousness that film databases document cinema: identity, makers, technology, evidence, and history — in one navigable encyclopedia.
Vision
A living map of robotics: humanoids, industrial arms, medical systems, research platforms, space machines, and the companies and countries that build them — connected through a knowledge graph readers and researchers can trust.
Why RoboDex exists
Robotics information is scattered across press releases, PDFs, conference talks, and marketing pages. Specs conflict. Photos are uncredited. “Top robot” lists reward hype. RoboDex exists to organize primary evidence into stable dossiers and to separate what is verified from what is still being researched.
Comprehensive database vision
We aim for breadth without inventing completeness. Coverage grows through discovery, company product lines, and editorial import — always with room for unknown fields to stay unknown until sources exist. Explore the robot catalog, companies, and technology library.
How data is collected
- Official manufacturer and product documentation
- Peer-reviewed research and institutional publications
- Standards bodies, patents, and public filings where relevant
- News and conference material, clearly separated from specs
- Structured imports reviewed before public elevation

Editorial independence
RoboDex scores and verification statuses are editorial judgments based on evidence — not advertising placements, funding rounds, or social popularity. Sponsored relationships, if any in the future, will not purchase a Verified badge or a higher RoboDex Score. Read Editorial Standards.
