Verification Process

• Researching — Entity is in the pipeline; identity may be sparse; not all fields are ready for trust badges.
• Pending — Awaiting editorial or RoboDex approval review after import or discovery.
• Curated — Editorially shaped and suitable for public browsing; evidence may still deepen over time.
• Verified — Core identity and key facts checked against primary sources to RoboDex’s verification bar.
• Archived — Retained historically but no longer treated as an active catalog focus (for example superseded products or withdrawn entries).

A robot moves toward Verified when editors confirm name and maker, establish stable categorization, attach attributable sources, and clear media when available. Specs that cannot be sourced remain blank. Scoring is separate from verification — a Verified robot may still await a full RoboDex Score.

Companies are verified when their identity, country, and public product relationship to robots are established from official or strong institutional sources. A company with public robots may appear on the site while still Researching editorially; badges communicate that nuance rather than hiding the maker.

Verification is not an endorsement of safety, commercial readiness, or investment quality. It means RoboDex has checked documentary identity and key facts against sources under our Editorial Standards.
