Every RoboDex Score is built using publicly verifiable evidence, AI-assisted research, and human editorial review. We evaluate engineering, innovation, and real-world capability — not popularity, funding, marketing, or hype.

Why RoboDex Exists

Robotics deserves better rankings.

Most robot rankings found online are based on opinion articles, popularity, funding announcements, or marketing claims. RoboDex provides a transparent editorial assessment framework grounded in documented evidence and engineering excellence.

Continuous Review

Living editorial documents.

Robotics evolves quickly. As robots receive major hardware upgrades, software improvements, commercial deployments, or new verified capabilities, editors can reassess scores using documented evidence. Every assessment includes a revision history.

Community

A separate signal — not a sixth editorial pillar.

Community ratings reflect how readers score robots on RoboDex. They sit beside the five editorial dimensions (Innovation, AI, Mobility, Utility, Design) and never replace documented assessment. Hype, follower counts, and funding rounds are still ignored in the editorial score.

Why scores change

Evidence moves. Scores can follow.
